According to the Huffington Post, the family of 17 year-old Trayvon Martin were lied to by police regarding the violent past of 28 year-old neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman, who shot and killed Martin last month “in self-defense,” after calling 911 to report the young man as “suspicious.”
