Ladies and gentlemen, Kanye has struck again. During his tour, rapper Kanye West performed his Grammy award-winning track, “Jesus Walks.” Get this, he actually brought Jesus on stage, or an impersonator at least.
A 9-year-old boy was removed from his family after his father pleaded for help with the boy on national television. Minnesota District Judge Joseph Klein declared the boy a “child in need of protection or services” He also ordered therapy for the boy and his parents while officials determine what kind of help the boy needs.
The Supreme Court is currently evaluating the University of Michigan’s current ban on affirmative action, and most of the justices appear to agree that it should be upheld. Several of them expressed doubts that the constitutional amendment violates minorities’ equal protection rights.
When news broke that 24-year-old former FAMU student Jonathan Ferrell was killed by police last month, the subject of police brutality was once again pushed into national spotlight. Now police departments across the country are criticizing those charges.
