    As the quest to rescue more than 200 Nigerian schoolgirls from an extremist terror group continues, police in Nigeria’s capital have banned all planned protests. The girls were abducted from a private school in Northern Nigeria on April 14. 

According to Nigerian officials, a group of more than 200 missing school girls who were abducted by Nigerian extremist last month have been located. But Air Marshal Alex Bedeh told demonstrators that the fear of using force could get the girls killed.

Militants believed to be part of the Boko Haram terror group again attacked the remote Nigerian town from which nearly 300 schoolgirls were kidnapped.  12 members of Nigeria’s military died as a result of the attack.

  As we enter our fourth week of more than 275 Nigerian girls being captured by members of the terrorist group Boko Haram, a new video showing the girls has surfaced. The video suggests that the girls, some of whom belonged to the Christian faith, have all converted to Islam.

A Nigerian Islamic extremist leader has claimed the kidnapping of more than 300 teenage school girls who were abducted from a school in the remote northeast nearly three weeks ago. Abudbakar Shekau of the Boko Haram terrorist group threatened to attack more schools and abduct more girls.

  Students at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill gathered in front of Saunders Hall to call for a renaming of the building. The Rename Saunders campaign which launched on April 9, has an online petition with more than 650 signatures.
