  Protesters in Ferguson, Missouri shut down a local Walmart in solidarity with an unarmed 22-year-old black man who was fatally shot by police in Ohio in August. Another woman called to report Powell was acting erratically and had a knife.

Hundreds of protesters rallied outside of the Los Angeles Police Department’s headquarters over the death of an unarmed man fatally shot by police last week. Ezell Ford, 25, was killed during a confrontation with police on Aug. 11. Demonstrators called for a complete investigation into his death. 

  Late last year, we reported the story of Leon Ford, a Pittsburgh teen who was shot by police during a routine traffic stop. No drugs or weapons were found on Ford. Ford is paralyzed and faces up to 20 years in prison for the incident.
