13-year-old Mo’Ne Davis, a Little League pitcher, threw a complete shutout Sunday that advanced the Taney Dragons of Philadelphia to the Little League World Series. Davis, who throws an impressive 70 mph fastball and curveball, is just one of 16 girls who have played in the Little League World Series in the past 67 years.
