According to the Black Youth Project’s latest memo, “Gun Violence and Public Opinion on Gun Control among America’s Young People,” youth of color experience higher levels of gun violence and report greater support for increased gun restrictions compared with their white peers.
Orlando Shaw – a man who fathered 22 children by 14 different women – may be getting his own reality show. Shaw became an internet sensation after video of an interview with Nashville’s NewsChannel5 went viral. Since then, he’s gotten an agent and is fielding offers from Hollywood.

Young people from across Florida have flooded the Governor’s office in Tallahassee,demanding that Gov. Rick Scott hear their concerns in the aftermath of the George Zimmerman verdict.
20-year old AJ Thomas reflects on black womanhood, and her commitment to the struggle: “I am no longer a slave to my fears, to others opinions and perceptions of me, to stereotypes, to any negativity. I am an advocate. I am a Black woman and I WILL make a difference. I declare that today I woke up as a wild thing – as a Black woman in all of her glory, with love for herself and love for her people.”
A petition has been launched demanding that George Zimmerman’s concealed carry permit be revoked. So far it has over 12,000 signatures.
According to Bill Cosby, one cannot prove that a person, Zimmerman in this case, is racist unless they say something like, “Hey, I’m racist,” and we should thus not talk about “racial stuff” regarding the reason for and outcome of the case:
