Police officers, and friends of slain teen Jordan Davis took the stand today in the second day of the trial that will decide Michael Dunn’s fate. Davis, 17, died in a gas station parking lot after an altercation over loud music. Dunn fired into the vehicle where Davis and his friends sat. 

Attorneys representing Marissa Alexander got their wish granted when a judge ruled in favor of their request to have her trial rescheduled for July 28th. Alexander’s attorney Bruce Zimet said the initial trial date of March 31st was too soon for adequate preparation. 

  Rapper Kanye West will not face criminal charges in relation to a Jan. 13 incident where he punched a man in a Beverly Hills chiropractor’s office. The decision comes days after West settled with the unknown defendant for a sum of $250,000. 

The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s chancellor has finally responded to racist criticism for her decision to hold classes during a severe weather advisory. An Atlanta-based pastor has been found guilty of knowingly exposing two women to the HIV virus. Pastor Craig Lamar Davis was found guilty on two counts of reckless conduct for failing to inform the women of his status. 

An 18-year-old teenager who claims he was beat up by Kanye West last week is seeking an out of court settlement for the incident. According to TMZ, the teen’s lawyer called Kanye’s people and expressed the desire for a civil settlement, and asked for several hundred thousand dollars.
