The U.S. Court of Appeals upheld a New York judge’s ruling that dismissed allegations of sexual abuse against Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash. Clash, 53, was accused by multiple men of sexually abusing them more than 10 years ago when they were minors. 

A New Jersey man is free after a dash cam video showing him being abused by police officers was released. Several charges were dropped against Marcus Jeter, 30, including eluding police and assault and two Bloomfield police officers have been indicted for falsifying reports. One of them has been charged with assault.

Two lawsuits have been filed alleging that a private youth prison operator in Florida actively covered up sexual abuse against young people in its care. The suits claim that the company Youth Services International, frequently turned a blind eye to the misconduct.

More than one dozen current and former officers from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are facing arrest after allegations of misconduct and abuse inside the county’s jails have surfaced. So far, the FBI placed at least three people into custody as part of a federal probe.

Sampson has been arrested at least 62 times by Miami Gardens police for simply “trespassing” at his place of employment. “The Maroon Tiger,” Morehouse College’s student newspaper, has released their version of ESPN’s “The Body Issue” in response to apprehension of HBCUs when discussing issues related to black sexuality and bodies. Out of the college’s 146 year existence, just last year the institution started to open up about black sexuality by adding a LGBT studies course to its curricula.

Penn State University will pay a total of $59.7 million to 26 victims of former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky. The school also indicated that more settlements could come in the future. Sandusky was convicted of 45 counts of child sexual abuse in June 2012.

Kevin Clash, the puppeteer known for voicing Sesame Street’s Elmo, got some good news today. A judge has thrown out three lawsuits claiming that Clash had committed sexual abuse:

Two NYPD whistleblowers have testified that abuse of the Stop and Frisk program was propelled by a quota system, in which officers were pressured to make a certain amount of stops per month. They;ve since been harrassed and labeled as ‘rats’ by fellow officers.

The family of 9 year-old rapper Luie Rivera is under investigation by Child Protective Services for possible abuse and neglect. Rivera has starred in a slew of raunchy rap videos in which he makes drug references, dances suggestively, and even slaps a woman’s buttocks.
