Prosecutors dropped assault charges against George Zimmerman after his girlfriend Samantha Scheibe withdrew a domestic violence allegation. The charges stemmed from a domestic violence dispute last month at the home the couple share.

  George Zimmerman’s girlfriend Samantha Scheibe says she wants a no-contact provision against the former neighborhood watch captain lifted so the couple can “talk and be together.” Scheibe requested that a judge lift the order that blocks her from seeing Zimmerman, and also that the charges filed against him be dropped.

According to court documents, police found five guns and more than 100 rounds of ammunition in the home shared by George Zimmerman and Samantha Scheibe. Police were called to the couple’s home on Nov. 18 by Samantha Scheibe who claimed that Zimmerman threatened her with a gun and broke a glass table.

Comedian and radio personality Rickey Smiley posted bond money for an 80-year-old Fort Worth woman who allegedly tried to kill her ex-husband during an argument. Tempie Strickland was released from Mansfield jail after Smiley posted the $100,000 bond.
