On Monday, Wagatwe Wanjuki posted a tweet about what it’s like to be a rape survivor. The 27-year-old took to Twitter after reading a June 6 Washington Post column buy conservative writer George Will. The column suggested there was no campus rape epidemic and that women were lying about being victims of sexual assault.

Two Long Island high school students have been suspended indefinitely after bringing a Confederate flag to school. According the Brother Gary Cregan, St. Anthony’s High School’s principal, the two seniors walked in with the flag draped around their shoulders during a sporting event. 

First Lady Michelle Obama is slated to reveal a proposal Tuesday that would ban the promotion of junk food and sodas in schools. The announcement comes as part of an event celebrating the 4-year anniversary of Obama’s “Let’s Move” health and wellness campaign.
