After 19 months, Cece McDonald freed from men’s prison
Chrishaun “CeCe” McDonald’s whole life changed in June 2011 when he got into a bar fight in Minneapolis. The incident resulted in the death of Dean Schmitz, 47, and McDonald sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison. Now she is free after serving 19 months in a Minnesota detention facility.

A man who pleaded guilty slapping a crying toddler on a Delta airline flight is due in federal court today for sentencing. Joe Rickey Hundley, who is white, pleaded guilty in October after reaching a plea agreement with prosecutors.

Bus driver fired for leading students in prayer
A Minnesota school bus driver has been fired after leading kids in prayers while driving. George Nathaniel, 49, had already been warned of his praying. He was also reassigned for practicing what he calls “freedom of speech.”
Child who away on plane placed in child protection services
A 9-year-old boy was removed from his family after his father pleaded for help with the boy on national television. Minnesota District Judge Joseph Klein declared the boy a “child in need of protection or services” He also ordered therapy for the boy and his parents while officials determine what kind of help the boy needs.
Passenger who used racial slur, hit baby set for trial
The man accused of slapping a crying baby on a Delta Airlines plane is set to go on trial Thursday. Joe Rickey Hundley is charged with misdemeanor simple assault for allegedly hitting a 19-month-old boy during a flight in February.
