    According to an analysis by Pro Publica, black males are 21 times more likely to be shot by police than their white male counterparts. The analysis was based on 1,217 deadly police shootings from 2010 to 2012.

A 93-year-old woman was shot to death by a Texas police officer on Tuesday evening. According to the Robertson County District Attorney’s Office, police responded to a 911 call about a lady waving a gun around. 

Despite increased efforts to secure schools in the country, the number of school shootings have virtually remained unchanged.
