A new PBS documentary has been launched to allow whites in America to explore what the “white” experience is like in the country.
Students at the University of Missouri-Columbia staged a “die-in” demonstration in protest of events happening in Ferguson, Missouri. The demonstration included poetry written by students and reading of names of black men and women who have lost their lives at the hands of police.Â
Top universities turn out twice as many black and Latino computer science and computer engineering graduates than the rate at which leading tech companies hire them, according to a USA Today analysis. The companies say the pool of job applicants is to blame for the severe shortage of blacks and Latinos in Silicon Valley.Â

A black teenager was pepper-sprayed in his own home after a neighbor mistook him for a burglar. North Carolina teen Deshawn Currie, who lives with his white foster family, was confronted by police in his own home after a neighbor called them, assuming Currie was a trying to burglarize the home.
According to witnesses, on September 22, NYPD officers turned on their lights and via the police car’s loud speaker told a group of black teenagers walking down the street to leave the Park Slope neighborhood in Brooklyn. The issue was brought up during a Community Council meeting by Sara Bennett, who saw the event.
 A series of ads advertising a new Fox television show have been removed from the L.A. transportation system. Riders became offended after seeing the ads for “Red Band Society” that depicted actress Octavia Spencer as a “scary b**ch.”Â
A Pennsylvania couple is suing three police officers who they say invaded their home on Feb. 22. Kia Gaymon, 38, and her husband Michael, 35 of Collingdale, filed a lawsuit against the borough as well as three police officers.Â
