According to a recent study, Black students at predominantly white universities fear the loss of their cultural identities, feel pressured to assimilate into the dominant culture, and expressed frustration with the lack of cultural understanding displayed by their classmates.
A Washington Post-ABC news poll revealed a VERY stark racial divide regarding the George Zimmerman verdict, as well as race and justice in generaL. What are you thoughts on the poll, and race relations in America? Can the disparity between whites and black be chalked up to racism? Are there other factors?
According to Bill Cosby, one cannot prove that a person, Zimmerman in this case, is racist unless they say something like, “Hey, I’m racist,” and we should thus not talk about “racial stuff” regarding the reason for and outcome of the case:
