According to reports, Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose has offered to pay for the funeral expenses for Jonylah Watkins, the six-month-old girl who was shot five times earlier this week in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood.

About 200 people participated in a vigil honoring the life of Jonylah Watkins, the six-month-old baby who was shot five times during an attack against her father. Her family is adamant about seeing that her killer is brought to justice.

Six month-old Jonylah Watkins died this morning after being shot 5 times on the South Side of Chicago. Senseless and truly heartbreaking. Our thoughts and prayers are with little Jonylah’s loved ones at this time. The violence must stop.
