  The media continues to stigmatize Blacks with full force and propaganda, convincing viewers that they are corrupt and violent. Calling Blacks thugs, further implying that our days consist of gun and gang violence thus bringing to conclusion that this is what greatly contributes to the destruction of the Black community.

A 64-year-old deaf man who was  beaten by police for 7 minutes allegedly fled the scene of an accident prior to the incident. Pearl Pearson, who also suffers from diabetes, was hospitalized as a result of the altercation. His family says two Oklahoma City troopers used excessive force when they pulled Pearson over. Leon Ford Jr.’s entire life changed last November after a routine traffic stop escalated to gun shots, leaving Ford paralyzed. His family believes the officers acted unlawfully. Now they are seeking justice for Ford who still faces charges.

When news broke that 24-year-old former FAMU student Jonathan Ferrell was killed by police last month, the subject of police brutality was once again pushed into national spotlight. Now police departments across the country are criticizing those charges.

Many are up in arms over the death of 25 year-old Cary Ball Jr. , an honor student who was shot 25 times by St. Louis police.
