When Florida Gov. Rick Scott’s administration announced new voting practices for the state last year, civil rights groups and local officials protested. The groups said that African Americans and Latinos would be unfairly targeted and not be able to vote. Turns out they were right.

Last night’s vice presidential debate was definitely among the most contentious in recent memory. Vice President Biden and Rep. Paul Ryan went toe to- toe with reckless abandon; the 90 minute debate was rife with all kinds of shade, interruptions, and side eyes.
Very few athletes, or any person in the public eye for that matter, handle themselves with the amount of humility and class that Derrick Rose does. And I for one am so glad that he can be someone who kids look up to. More kids will believe that they can make it. Because he did.
