Hugh Douglas has been fired from ESPN after an ugly argument with w/ his co-host Michael Smith. Douglas and Smith got into a disagreement at the National Association of Black Journalists Convention and Career Fair, and according to witnesses, Douglas used the n-word and called Smith an Uncle Tom.
The man chosen to chair hearings on Florida’s ‘Stand Your Ground’ law is Rep. Matt Gaetz, a staunch supporter of the law: “I don’t support changing one damn comma of the ‘Stand Your Ground’ law. …It would be reactionary and dangerous to make Floridians less safe to pacify uninformed protesters.”

Hughes reportedly called Smith an “Uncle Tom” and a “House N—–” when it appeared Smith was hesitant to help him on stage during the event.
