  According to a report released by the American Civil Liberties Union, blacks are 11 times more likely to be arrested for low-level non-violent offenses in Minneapolis than their white counterparts. The data released covers white and black arrest rates for four low-level non-violent offenses: disorderly conduct, marijuana possession, vagrancy and juvenile curfew violations/loitering. 

    Missouri state senator Jamilah Nasheed was arrested Monday night outside of Ferguson’s police department during another series of protest following the fatal police shooting of an unarmed black teenager in August. Senator Nasheed was taken into custody, but further details were not immediately available.

  Author and activist Cornel West was arrested in Ferguson, Missouri on Monday. The town had an influx of protesters from all of the country this past weekend, who gathered in protest of inequality regarding the treatment of blacks by police. 

  Eight protesters were arrested Sunday evening in Ferguson as police continued their search for a suspect who shot a police officer on Saturday. According to a Ferguson police officer, bottles and rocks were hurled at officers, and the department requested aid from other police agencies because of the large crowd. 

      A number of protesters were arrested by police in Ferguson after shoving ensued on Thursday night. According to protesters, the evening started out peaceful, with Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson marching down the street with them. 

  Demonstrators attempting to block Interstate 70 in St. Louis on Wednesday to protest the fatal shooting of Michael Brown a month ago were barred by the police from entering the highway. According to authorities, 35 people have been arrested, most for unlawful assembly but four for assaulting officers.

When a group of Ferguson, Missouri protesters marched on the office of U.S. Attorney Richard Callahan on Tuesday, they expected to be arrested. Instead, they met with Callahan face-to-face for an hour.

  Video has surfaced of St. Paul, MN police allegedly tasering and arresting a man for “sitting while black.” In a video posted to YouTube, the entire interaction between the unidentified man, who is filming with his cell phone, and police officers takes place.
