    Protesters are planning to disrupt New Year’s Eve celebrations in major metropolitan areas across the nation. The protests, headed by the Stop Mass Incarceration Network, calls for activists to not allow New Years Eve 2015 “to go down because business as usual in Amerikkka includes wanton police murder of Black people.”

    On Monday, the U.S. Justice Department announced a highly anticipated move to curb on racial profiling by federal law enforcement, but the new rules will not cover local police departments. It is local departments that have come under criticism in recent months over allegations that their officers profile suspects. 

  Students from three Newark high schools have walked out of class in protest of the state’s control of New Jersey’s largest school district. Community activists and parents joined students from Science Park High, Arts High School and Central High School as they walked out of class on Tuesday.

A New York-based publication has decided to print a headline that refers to President Obama as “The N***er in the White House.” The WestView News printed the headline. 

  No criminal charges will be filed against members of a New Jersey high school wrestling team who posed in a photo simulating a lynching. The picture showed seven white boys in Phillipsburg wrestling attire surrounding a black wrestling dummy wearing a rival school’s t-shirt. The dummy was hanging from a noose. 

A New Jersey woman’s vehicle was vandalized and spray-painted with racial epithets, including the N-word earlier this week. Marcella Seachrist walked out of her home Monday morning to see the offensive language painted across her 1996 Jeep. The culprits also slashed the woman’s tires. 

Yesterday Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni signed the country’s Anti-Homosexuality Act, banning the practice of same-sex acts and relationships. The act is punishable by up to life in prison. If that isn’t drastic enough, Red Pepper newspaper has published the identities of what it describes as the country’s “200 Top Homos.”

  Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin has been found guilty of corruption. After deliberating for over six hours, jurors decided that Nagin had accepted over $500,000 in benefits in exchange for millions of dollars in city contract work.
