  The National Association of Black Storytellers is now accepting entries for its 2nd annual NABS National Storytelling Contest. Community members are encouraged to tell family, neighborhood and historical stories, and to enter narratives into the contest. 

FIFA, the organization in charge of running the World Cup which is currently taking place in Brazil, is considering investigating German fans who chose to wear blackface when their team played Ghana. Pictures of two men in blackface, who appeared to be cheering for Germany, have been circulating the internet. 

  A new initiative will provide the opportunity for candidates to shadow well-known TV directors of various half-hour scripted Sony Pictures TV series. The “Diverse Directors Program” is meant to provide access and training to promising future directors of color.
