A popular black-owned venue in Chicago was tagged with a racist message on its wall. “N—– GO HOME” was spray-painted in large white letters on the front wall of Nouveau Tavern at 358 W. Ontario St. The club has a predominantly black clientele. 

    A Pennsylvania couple’s home was vandalized with words and symbols of hate. On Feb. 21, Marlene Williams and Jason Powell  found the words, “Die N***er” and “1.87,” along with swastikas spray-painted in black on their garage door.

Since the election cycle, the number of hate crimes have risen across the board, affecting multiple groups of minorities and people of color. The latest example cites a Hmong family in Oakdale, Minnesota who woke up the a racial slur spray painted on their garage. 

On Sunday, the North Carolina GOP reported vandalism and firebombing at its Hillsborough office. Apparently, an unknown individual or group of individuals caused fire damage to the inside of the building and spray painted a swastika symbol and the words “Nazi Republicans Get Out of Town Or Else ” on the side of the office.
