  Rapper/activist Talib Kweli is one of the few celebrities who traveled to Ferguson, Missouri to be at the forefront of the movement for justice after the death of Michael Brown. He recently spoke to CNN’s Don Lemon, and things got pretty heated. 

The Dream Defenders recently received a visit from Hip Hop artist Talib Kweli. At a press conference, Kweli discussed the importance of young people being at the forefront of this and any other meaningful movement for change.

A Chicago DJ passed away recently, but not without leaving one final words of wisdom. According to the Chicago Tribune, Timothy Jones, more commonly known by his music monicker “DJ Timbuck2”, died on Dec. 19 at the age of 34 following complications from renal cancer.
