Los Angeles County prosecutors plan to ask a judge to increase the bail to $10 million for former NFL player Darren Sharper. Sharper, 38 is charged with raping women in four states: California, Arizona, Nevada and Louisiana. 

In a rare weekend court session, the girlfriend of a man on trial for killing a 17-year-old black teen over loud music took the stand. Rhonda Rouer testified Saturday in the Florida murder trial of Michael Dunn. Dunn fatally shot Jordan Davis in front of a convenience store in November of 2012. 

  A Michigan police officer yanked a young mother’s head back and hacked off her hair while she was in custody. And it’s all been recorded on video. The incident, which took place at a Warren, Michigan jail was captured by surveillance cameras placed in the facility. 

Theodore Wafer, the man who shot Renisha McBride, will be in a Wayne County court today. A judge will determine whether Wafer will stand trial for second-degree murder and manslaughter. Last month, Wafer shot McBride.  He told authorities that someone had come onto his porch and knocked on his door in the very early morning.

A man who took a picture of his 19-month-old daughter and uploaded it to Facebook before killing her and shooting himself has died. 22-year-old Merrick McKoy had been transported to the hospital on Nov. 18 after the deadly shooting.

Minutes after posting a photo of his baby daughter online, 22-year-old Merrick McKoy shot and killed her, then turned the gun on himself. The crime unfolded on social media after the child’s mother awoke Monday morning to her estranged boyfriend standing over her bed with a gun.
