World-renowned poet, actress and novelist Maya Angelou has passed away. She was 86 and died at her home in North Carolina according to her publicist Helen Brann. 

  I’m sure you have probably heard the to-do surrounding two rising starlets, Lupita Nyong’o and Dencia. Both African women, it seems at first glance that their beef is escalating rapidly. After more thorough investigation, it just seems that maybe someone has been drinking that good ole Haterade. And man, it has to be sour.

Earlier this week, we announced that “The Boondocks” creator Aaron McGruder would not be returning for the series’ fourth season. The highly anticipated controversial animation is expected to debut it’s season opener on April 21. McGruder took to his Facebook page to release a statement about the departure. 

A New Jersey man is free after a dash cam video showing him being abused by police officers was released. Several charges were dropped against Marcus Jeter, 30, including eluding police and assault and two Bloomfield police officers have been indicted for falsifying reports. One of them has been charged with assault.
