  On what would’ve been the legendary jazz singer’s 88th birthday, the city of New York honored Miles Davis with “Miles Davis Way.” A block on New York City’s Upper West Side where Davis created some of jazz’s most profound work was renamed in his honor. 

    To promote their “On the Run” tour, Beyoncé and Jay Z released a trailer featuring A-list stars called “Run” on Saturday. Now, an online petition has surfaced on change.org in protest of the duo’s claim that the trailer will not be a movie. 

A Detroit teacher was fired after a cell phone video showed her using a broom to break up a fight between two students. In the video, two male students are fighting for at least 30 seconds before the teacher intervenes. 

An Arizona teacher has filed a lawsuit against the Tempe Union High School District after students at Ahwatukee’s Desert Vista High School racially discriminated against her.  The suit, filed by Cobb in February, came after a student posted a video to a social media site the month before.
