Following a ruling from a judge in Montgomery County, PA, 78-year-old Bill Cosby will now stand trial for sexual assault—11 years after survivor Andrea Constand first pressed charges against the entertainer.

After a year in which more than 50 women have come forth accusing Bill Cosby of rape and sexual assault, the former well-loved comic is now suing several of the women for defamation. The counter-suit was filed on Monday December 14 in federal court in Massachusetts against seven accusers who live in the state.

After four days of deliberation, an all White jury found serial rapist and former Oklahoma City Officer Daniel Holtzclaw guilty of multiple charges including rape, forcible oral sodomy, and sexual battery on Thursday. This was an outcome many were hoping for as the gruesome details of Holtzclaw’s predatory actions came to light.
