NBA All Star Weekend | 2008 So, the plan was to post a highlight from this year’s All Star Weekend, but unfortunately, it turned out to be uneventful.  So here’s video of what we believe to be one of the best dunk contests in years.  Enjoy! [poll id=”27″]

During my first year of college I was pulled over by the University of Chicago police. What did I do you ask? I walked down the street at night. They told me they needed to see my I.D. because there was a robbery in the area. The three white people across the street speaking in […]

I decided to take a break from politics and current events this week and focus more on creativity. Below is a fictional short story that I wrote about introspection. I hope you enjoy. I can still feel the piercing cold and hear the howling wind. I stood there paralyzed and dumbfounded. How could someone who […]

Yesterday we celebrated the life and legacy of the “young preacher from Georgia” (that’s for another  blog). Last year we heard the slogan “Rosa sat  so could Martin could walk, Martin walked so Barack could run, Barack ran, he ran and he won, so that all our children could fly” ( that’s for another blog). […]

It’s the MLK holiday, which probably means that you’re not reading this.  Or if you are lucky, perhaps your boss gave you the day off, which means you’ve just stumbled out of bed still hungover from that extra night of clubbing, regretting updating your status message while drunk, and contemplating whether or not to participate […]
