Two men who have been in Mississippi’s Hinds County Detention Center for seven years and eight years without going to trial had known mental health issues when they were incarcerated. They are among nearly 130 inmates have been in the detention center for at least a year without trial.

For the first time after the verdict, one of the jurors in the Michael Dunn trial is speaking out. Only known as Juror #4, the woman told ABC News’ Byron Pitts that the initial vote in favor of the first-degree murder conviction was 10-2. 

  Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin has been found guilty of corruption. After deliberating for over six hours, jurors decided that Nagin had accepted over $500,000 in benefits in exchange for millions of dollars in city contract work.

Police officers, and friends of slain teen Jordan Davis took the stand today in the second day of the trial that will decide Michael Dunn’s fate. Davis, 17, died in a gas station parking lot after an altercation over loud music. Dunn fired into the vehicle where Davis and his friends sat. 

The Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission has filed a complaint against a Williamson County State’s Attorney for “appealing to racial prejudices” during a murder trial. The complaint states that Charles Garnati violated four rules of professional conduct during a July 2011 murder trial.
