An Arizona teacher has filed a lawsuit against the Tempe Union High School District after students at Ahwatukee’s Desert Vista High School racially discriminated against her.  The suit, filed by Cobb in February, came after a student posted a video to a social media site the month before.

A human rights group is calling on Dunkin’ Donuts to remove an ad that they say is offensive.
The ad, currently running in Thailand, features a woman covered in black with only her lips colored pink, similar to that of the popular Minstrel Show images of early 20th century America.

t’s a shame that Waverly’s community and parents are adamant about defending their complicity in perpetuating racial stereotypes and condoning violence against women. One can only hope that this is Waverly High School’s most teachable moment… for those open to receiving it.
