A 19-year-old student at Spelman College is making history by throwing her hat into the arena of Georgia politics, joining Myya D. Jones as another young person diving head first into local politics. 

Spelman College is considering admitting transgender students, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. 

  Kirstie and Kristie Bronner walked across the stage as Spelman College’s first-ever co-valedictorians in 2013. Now the twin sisters hope to inspire others with their new book, “Double Vals: The Keys to Success in College and Life Beyond.”

Georgia teen Chelesa Fearce spent most of her high school career homeless, oftentimes living out of her mother’s car. But Fearce persevered. She achieved a 4.466 GPA, took all college courses during her senior year, and will start as a junior at Spelman this fall.
