BREAKING: 2 Dead at Nevada school shooting
A staff member is dead and two students are injured after a 13-year-old boy opened fired at Sparks Middle School this afternoon.
The student/suspect was also killed.
The motive for the shooting still remains unknown.
Authorities said it was too soon to say whether the suspected shooter was killed by a self-inflicted wound or a law enforcement shot. “As you can imagine, the best description is chaos,” said Tom Robinson, deputy chief of the Reno Police Department. “It’s too early to say whether he was targeting specific people or just going on an indiscriminate shooting spree.”
One of the injured students is doing well, while the other had to undergo surgery.
Students are being taken to a nearby high school for pickup by their parents. School at Sparks Middle School and Agnes Risley, the nearby elementary school was cancelled for the day.
