Jamie Foxx is no stranger to advocating for justice. Since the Trayvon Martin incident, Foxx has been active in speaking out for justice for the teen and his family.

This past weekend, Foxx hosted celebrities like Russell Simmons, Tyrese, Tim Robbins, Harry Belafonte and others at a fundraiser for the Trayvon Martin Foundation.

More than nine months later, with a not-guilty verdict handed down for shooter George Zimmerman, Foxx is still at it. Martin’s parents, Tracy Martin and Sabrina Fulton, along with his brother Jahvaris, were also present and received a six-figure donation from Russell Simmons.

On his personal Instagram account, Tyrese posted photos from the event with the caption: “@iamjamiefoxx this brother and friend raised a lot of money on behalf of the Tryavon Martin foundation…I showed up cause I’m uncomfortable with injustice…Jamie Foxx I’m very proud of you and HOW your’re using your influence.”

Kudos to Jamie Foxx raising money for Trayvon’s parents and the Trayvon Martin Foundation!
