White people steal the show once again in film about Moses
Exodus: Gods and Kings is slated to be released in December of this year.
While the story talks about the character of Moses, the film is receiving backlash for once again whitewashing its characters.
Just look at all of these white people in Ridley Scott’s new movie, “Exodus: Gods and Kings”, which tells the story of Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt.
Oh, I can spot some color in the background. Can someone please tell me why are there so many white people in Egypt? Oh sh*t, I see a black arm in that photo. Oh, he’s a slave though.
The main cast for the movie are all white. Christian Bale stars as Moses, Aaron Paul as Joshua, Sigourney Weaver as Tuya, Ben Kingsley as Nun, Joel Edgerton as Rhamses, John Turturro as Seti.
Last time we checked, Egyptians were people of color.
Hollywood thanks again for failing us.
