Colin Kaepernick continues to show his support for black communities by speaking out in public, holding events for the youth and donating part of his NFL salary to various organizations. And his latest contribution was made to Black Youth Project 100, reports the Chicago Sun-Times.

The amount the NFL quarterback donated hasn’t been made public, but Tasha Viets-VanLear of BYP100’s Chicago chapter said that it will benefit “chapter-specific ideas and endeavors centered around advancing our Agenda to Build Black Futures.”

Kaepernick said there may be more donations to Chicago-based organizations in the future, as part of his pledge to contribute $1 million to social justice.

“I’ll continue to look at other communities in Chicago, as well, as far as what are ways I can help and what are ways I can try to help empower those communities,” Kaepernick said on a conference call with reporters on Wednesday.
