The NRA doesn’t care about Black people. *Kanye West voice*

Well, they don’t care enough to speak up for legal gun owner Philando Castile while they do care enough to be terrified of us beyond all logic.

Last Wednesday, Grant Stinchfield spoke to the viewers on the NRA’s streaming network – didn’t even know they had one…?? – about the dangers of Black Lives Matter, according to the Huffington Post.

According to the NRA correspondent, BLM is essentially working to eventually torture and kill white people because that’s clearly what it means to stand for Black lives. And, of course, it’s all Barack Obama’s fault.

“But nowhere is near as bad as it is in South Africa where white families are being tortured and killed almost every day in racist violence. It is a warning for the United States that you will never hear from the mainstream media in this country,” Stinchfield said.

First of all, that’s a completely misguided narrative about racial tensions in South Africa where most victims of race-based crimes are from underrepresented communities. Secondly, the right-wing continues to blame the resurgence of racism on Barack Obama as if it isn’t the fault of the racists he came out against him.

As if the comments from one terrified conservative weren’t enough, Stinchfield turned the conversation over to a man named Chuck Holton, a cameraman for the Christian Broadcasting Network.

South Africa is “kind of a warning for what could happen in the United States if we continue to let this get out of control, to go down this path of this racial tension,” Holton said. “This racial hatred that is being forced on the American culture by the Black Lives Matter crowd.”

Some people really just want to be oppressed, don’t they?
