  A Missouri judge is considering two media requests that would release any possible records of the unarmed 18-year-old who was killed by a Missouri police officer last month. Juvenile records are confidential in Missouri, so it isn’t definitively known if Michael Brown was arrested before he legally became an adult. 

Michael Sam flew into Dallas Tuesday night and will take a physical for the Cowboys on Wednesday. If he passes, the Cowboys intend to sign him to their practice squad. 

  Five people who were arrested during protests in Ferguson, Missouri is suing the city’s police department for $40 million.  The federal lawsuit accuses police of using “wanton and excessive force” and treating citizens “as if they were war combatants.”

A suburban Detroit man who shot and killed a teenage girl on his front porch as she sought help after a car wreck has been sentenced to 17 years behind bars. Theodore Wafer was convicted of second-degree murder in the Nov. 2 death of 19-year-old Renisha McBride. McBride was unarmed at the time. 

Police departments across the country are using body cameras on its officers and that technology could soon come to Chicago. The department cites conflicting stories between citizens and police officers during encounters as a reason for the body cam pilot program.
