Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas has won the gold medal in the individual all-around competition.

Douglas also won the gold in the team event on Tuesday.

From the Grio:

“Douglas posted a winning score of 62.232 to edge out Russia’s Viktoria Komova and Aliya Mustafina.

By the time the London Games are over, Douglas should be one of the most marketable Olympic athletes not named Michael Phelps or Ryan Lochte.

Douglas competes in one of America’s favorite sports. The “Magnificent Seven” in 1996 captured  She was a member of the American team that won both the artistic team finals and America’s hearts on Tuesday, and is now finally earning some attention for her incredible aerial performances.

Coming into today, for once, all eyes were on Douglas and teammate Aly Raisman. America wanted to see these two talented young ladies bring home Gold in one of the staple events in the Summer Games.”
