This pervasive adoption of technology has heightened the level of Internet protection education, but also the awareness that parents need to be involved with their child’s digital behavior. Two suspects have been charged in the brutal gang rape of a teenage girl in Texas who went public about the crime after discovering the attack on social media.

The girl, known as Jada found out she had been sexually assault via the #JadaPose tag.

The U.S. Justice Department and Cleveland reached an agreement to overhaul the city’s police department after federal investigators concluded that officers use excessive and unnecessary force far too often.

The parents of Michael Brown, a Missouri teen whose death has sparked international protests and a call to end police brutality, testified before the U.N. committee Tuesday to let the world know “what’s going on in Ferguson.”

Lesley McSpadden and Michael Brown Sr. spoke to the United Nations Committee Against Torture. The committee works to end cruel or degrading treatment or punishment by government authorities.
