Vic Mensa, one of Chicago’s very own, was stopped by TMZ earlier this week and offered his opinion on R. Kelly, and he didn’t hold back. 

“Fuck R. Kelly,” Vic told TMZ when asked about the singer. “R. Kelly is a scumbag and a very dirty man. He needs to be locked away forever.”

The opinions of R. Kelly in his native Chicago are mixed. It’s probably where one can find his most loyal fans but also where most of his “alleged” sexual crimes can be traced back to. The 50-year-old singer’s reputation may now be closer to one side than the other after the shocking Buzzfeed story on his abusive sex cult.

Mensa’s sentiments reflect those of those who were both critics and fans of Kelly. He’s been allowed to perpetuate the life of a sexual predator for decades and has somehow never had to answer for it.

Kelly has since denied the accusations and one of the women suspected of being in the cult even released public videos denying the claims. That doesn’t appear to be nearly enough for the public to look the other way yet again though.
