‘White Lives Matter’ Protest Held Outside Of Houston NAACP
No matter how often it’s said, people still appear to believe that the Black Lives Matter is somehow racist. Despite multiple people giving explanation after explanation saying otherwise, a select population feels that the movement is actually anti-white.
A group of protestors in Houston took that inaccurate assumption and staged a demonstration in front of the Houston NAACP office with assault rifles and confederate flags, according to USA Today.
“We came here because the NAACP headquarters is here and that’s one of the most racist groups in America,” Scott Lacy, a White Lives Matter said.
Lacy feels that the Black Lives Matter movement is to blame for recent attacks on police officers and rioting and that the NAACP should do their part to put people in check.
“If they’re going to be a civil rights organization and defend their people,” he said, “they also need to hold their people accountable.”
To all of the defenders of what the Confederate flag does or doesn’t mean, keep in mind that they were brought to a demonstration that specifically targeted an organization meant to support the black community. Along with rifles. What kind of message does that send?
