“Sanctuary city Policies endanger the lively hood[sic] of every american [sic], while violating federal law and destroying the black community.” At least, that’s what a blatantly racist – and poorly written – flyer found on Chicago’s South Side would like for you to believe.

DNA Info reports that the flyer, which reads more like a wanted poster, tries to get the city’s Black residents to turn in any suspected “illegals” to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to “help Atty. General Jeff Sessions Help US Black People.” It offers what’s essentially a bounty of “$3,000 – $10,000 per illegal reported.”

Is it just me, or does this sound like the language you’d find on those Twitter profiles that are most likely white conservatives putting on their best impression of an angry Black bigot?

“The flyer offers outrageous and baseless claims that Latino immigrants are taking jobs away from African-American Chicagoans,” said 15th Ward Ald. Raymond Lopez. “Don’t fall for this phony argument.”

“This flyer is a fraud, and an effort by some nameless entity to divide us and get people to sell their own neighbors, like Judas Iscariot, for a few pieces of silver. We all know how history remembers Judas.”

Lopez claims the flyers have been found in Roseland and Englewood, two neighborhoods with a predominantly black population.

Just in case there were any doubts as to how fake this flyer is, an ICE representative confirmed the inauthenticity to Fox 32.

“These flyers, stickers and posters are not issued by or sanctioned by ICE. These fake flyers are similar to the recent rash of false reports involving purported ICE checkpoints and random sweeps; these reports are dangerous and irresponsible,” the spokesperson said.
