The college that a student chooses to go to is only half of the battle when it comes to getting a job upon graduation. Another important part is picking the right program at the right school. To help with these sometimes overwhelming decisions, LinkedIn has provided a list of the best undergraduate universities for various career fields.

And as far as job placement for media professionals is concerned, Howard University is considered to be the fourth best in the entire country. Howard is the only HBCU to make the list of 25.

“More than ever, students go to college because they want to get jobs — good jobs,” said Navneet Kapur in an article for LinkedIn. “To that end, students and parents want to know which schools give them the best chance at getting a desirable job after graduation. This is where we can help.”

The top three schools listed were New York University, Hofstra University and Duke University with Howard and Northwestern University rounding out the top five.

This announcement is a statement to both the value of Howard Unirvsity’s education and network and those of all HBCUs. Hopefully, it won’t be the only one on this list for much longer.

Note: And, hopefully, my alma mater, the University of Missouri, will at least make the list next time around. C’mon, Tigers!
