FBI Director James Comey was in the Los Angeles bureau when he got the news he was let go. He was speaking to staff members when televisions throughout the office started broadcasting that he had been fired by the president. The New York Times reports that he initially laughed it off before finding out it wasn’t a prank.
Fox News has cut its ties with Bill O’Reilly, one of the networks most recognizable political pundits. The mutual break-up comes after O’Reilly has been publicly accused of sexual harassment by multiple women who once worked at the network.

The Milwaukee police officer who fatally shot Sylville Smith, 23, has been fired by the police department for an unrelated arrest for sexual assault. He’s been charged with sexual assault, prostitution and capturing an intimate representation without consent and could face up to 80 years in prison.
It’s been nearly two years, but the fallout from Laquan McDonald’s death at the hands of Chicago police is far from over. Out of the ten officers that were involved in McDonald’s killing, and cover-up that followed, five are now being brought before the Chicago Police Board for possible termination at the request of Supt. Eddie Johnson.
This past February, an Austin police officer broke several protocols and confronted 17-year-old David Joseph after multiple residents filed complaints of suspicious activity. Officer Geoffrey Freeman was the first to arrive and chose to confront the teen without waiting for backup. Shortly thereafter, the naked and unarmed teen was shot dead.
The Austin Police Department has officially fired Freeman as a result of the incident, according to New York Daily News.

A Houston woman has lost her job after friends on Facebook notified her employer of a racist comment she made about the events happening in Ferguson, Missouri.
The woman, whose name has not been released, worked at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital.
